Ahead of that, Oprah released a list full of recommended gift-able goodies — many of them made by women. Every year, the media mogul publishes a list of her “favorite things” that could serve as ideal presents. Of the 79 items she featured for the 2019 holidays, 23 of them are brought to us by women-owned businesses. Some of those female founders are familiar to us — like Sara Blakely, the billionaire behind undergarment company, Spanx. And some of them are international household names for other reasons, like singer Lady Gaga, actress Sarah Jessica Parker and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama.
