The 40-horsepower 903D compact wheel loader handles buckets from 0.8 to 1.3 cubic yards, and has breakout force of 6,160 lb.-ft. With an operating weight of 9,400 pounds, the loader has been given a new powertrain, including a Tier 4-F Cat C2.4 engine, hydrostatic transmission that boosts travel speed by 25 percent to 12.4 mph, and planetary-reduction axles with optional differential locks. Auxiliary (third-function) hydraulic system delivers a flow of up to 14 gpm at pressures to 3,481 psi, and auxiliary hydraulic lines have quick connectors. A universal coupler is standard, and an electrically activated coupler for switching attachments from the cab is an option. Other optional features include creep control and throttle lock, which are independently controlled and allow the operator to deliver optimum hydraulic power to attachments, according to the company. The loader has Z-bar loader linkage, and boom arms are available in both standard and high-lift configurations, with the latter increasing hinge-pin height from 10 feet 1 inch to 10 feet 7 inches. Multifunction joystick provides controls for directional changes, third-function hydraulics, differential locks, and continuou...
